Devo and Black Pumas will christen Hollywood Park’s new Performance Venue

Rock band Devo and psychedelic soul group Black Pumas will be among the first artists to take the stage at the all-new Performance Venue located at the sprawling Hollywood Park and under the same roof as SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. (And yes, we’re told that’s what the name of the performance venue is — Performance Venue — at least for now.)

The 6,000-capacity theater is scheduled to open later this year with Latin rock band Caifanes kicking things off on Sept. 4, though it’s possible more acts may be announced.

Austin-based band Black Pumas will be out in support of its Grammy-nominated self-titled debut album and will stop by the venue on Sept. 23. Devo, which is also part of the Cruel World Festival taking place next year at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, will take over Hollywood Park on Sept. 25. Devo is only playing two shows in North America this year, including the Inglewood stop and Radio City Music Hall in New York.

Tickets to both shows go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, June 11 at Ticketmaster.com.

According to the Ticketmaster website, fans will be asked to adhere to current California COVID-19 guidelines and must agree to the following before purchasing tickets: “In accordance with California’s current guidelines, the Event Organizer is requiring fans agree to the terms below prior to ticket purchases & event entry: By purchasing tickets for this event, I confirm that at the time of the event I will either have been fully vaccinated, received a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of the event, or agree to wear a mask for the duration of the event. Please note this requirement will apply to all members of your party before they are allowed to enter the event.”
