It ain’t too early and it ain’t too late: Kendrick Perkins will soon be livin’ in a whole new state. Just four months after the Oklahoma City Thunder center moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers, he’s saying goodbye to Oklahoma and leaving behind his $ 615,000 five-bedroom home in Edmond.

Unlike Perkins’ size 17 feet, his 5,646-square-foot, NAHB green-certified home leaves a modest footprint. The certification mandates energy and water efficiency, the conservation of surrounding natural resources, eco-friendly heating and cooling systems, and Energy Star–rated appliances and lighting.

His former digs aren’t hurting for curb appeal. The stone-and-brick turreted façade and landscaped walkway are bound to impress any guests.

There’s plenty to see inside, even if you’re not dedicated to a green lifestyle. “It’s a beautiful house that’s nice and open,” says listing agent Ty Weston of Elite Real Estate & Leasing.

The ornate kitchen features warm wood cabinetry, a mixed-stone backsplash, an elaborate brick vent surrounding the stove, and granite countertops.

“All the rooms are massive,” Weston says. A chandelier hangs from the large entryway’s lofted ceiling, and the spacious living room is centered around a stone fireplace. Each bedroom has a walk-in closet and Jack-and-Jill bathrooms. The master suite’s bathroom provides a sitting area and an enormous shower.

If you’re into the NBA, you can enjoy watching the finals in the tiered movie room, which features theater-style seating and an attached kitchenette.

In the backyard, a large patio stretches all the way across the French-style home, with room for several seating areas overlooking the modest lawn.

A first-round pick in the 2003 NBA draft, the 6-foot-10 Perkins starred for the Boston Celtics for eight seasons and helped the team win the title in 2008. After being traded to Oklahoma City, he reached the Finals again with the Thunder in 2012, but OKC fell prey to Miami and LeBron James. After choosing to unite with James this season, he’s back in the Finals with the Cavaliers.
