A Laguna Beach house owned by David Heil, custom tailor to sports and screen stars, has sold for $ 5 million.
Heil is the owner of clothier David August in Costa Mesa. His clients have included Kobe Bryant, Sylvester Stallone, Robert Downey Jr., Will Smith and Ryan Seacrest.
The 2,977-square foot house, in the oceanfront community of Emerald Bay, was built in 2007. It has four bedrooms, a wine cellar, retractable Riveriera bronze and glass walls and outdoor dining for twelve. There’s also a patio with a fire pit.
Interior highlights include Venetian plaster walls, coffered ceilings, French Oak flooring, Calacatta gold, hand beveled marble, Pierre Brun limestone counter tops, and polished nickel fixtures.
The house was listed at $ 5.35 million in August.
Heil’s website dubs him a “captain of the clothing industry” and a “bestower of confidence and power.”
He told The Register several years ago, “We succeed by being very, very picky about the way we do garments.”
Harold Noriega of HOM Sotheby’s International Realty was the listing agent. Rod Daley of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage represented the buyer.
